I saw my little boy....again

So I had another 4D u/s yesterday and I saw my baby. Boy is he cute. I think he has DH's nose. The tech was trying to get a good pic of him and the ONLY thing he'd let us take a pic of....was his,um....little package. She tried his face, but he hid it. She tried his hands but he stuck them in his armpits. She tried his foot and he kicked her.....It was funny. I wasn't going to pay for a CD of the baby's "parts" though, so I left it at that.
What she did see was amazing/crazy/kinda funny. I dont know how I feel about it. I'm 34.5 weeks and baby is about 6lb 1oz already!!!! Wow! My neice was born, fullterm, 6lb 4oz. I still have 5 weeks! So now I meet with my OB on Monday to see (if anything) what she wants to do.
Another thing she commented on is his length. He is long. She was taking the measurments and couldn't even get the top of his head because he is so low. She put that wand as low as she could, and still saw nothing. His bum is sitting on my right rib cage and his little feet are imbedded in the left side. He's even practicing his breathing. Boy it was exciting. And way different then the 19 week u/s. I'm so glad I got to see him again.

Oh wow the hormones....

Ok I know through this entire thing I have been struggling with the hormones...some times I'm happy, or sad, or angry....I'm sure some people (DH) think I'm Bipolar right now.....
But I have noticed they are even getting worse, the further along I get.....
take tonight for example. I am so sad. I dont really have a reason to be, nothing bad even happened to me. I just cant stop crying, and its silly really...thats why I thought it might help if I write about it.
I'm sad because I haven't paid much attention to my Dog
I'm sad because when I did start crying my cat (who was sleeping) instantly jumped on my lap and wanted cuddles...and all I do is yell at him lately, for scratching on the furniture, or being in the baby crib, etc.
I'm sad because DH seems so busy lately with other things, yet is out with his buddies at a pub right now.
I'm sad because I ate dinner alone.
I'm even alittle sad about how my T.V. show ended today.
I know that normally NONE of this stuff would bother me. I just cant help it for some reason.....seems silly doesn't it?
Well I'm going to bed, I know I will feel better tomorrow.

I see the finish line!

Ok once again I have been horrible at updating this thing....
Baby is good, growing like a weed....I honestly dont know where else he's gonna go! I'm pretty uncomfortable now, and sleeping is a challenge. My pelvis hurts so much, some days I can barely walk. And if anyone told you Braxton Hicks dont hurt (or are atleast uncomfortable) they lied. But you know what, I STILL love it. I really think I will be sad when I dont feel him anymore, or see him move.
I saw the OB on Monday and told her about all the cramping I have had. She checked my cervix and found a few things....1: It is shortening. There is still length, but nothing like 3 weeks ago, so thats a concern. 2: The baby's head is as low as its going. She actually had to move his head to find the opening of my cervix, which I will add, is still closed.
So from this she told me that I am on 'modified bedrest' because I need to atleast try to keep beaner in there for another 5 weeks (that would put me at 37). And she thinks my labour is going to go fast. Which honestly didn't sound to bad.....But if it starts early, they might not be able to stop it.
So, I go back in 2 weeks (well really 1 now) and they are checking again. From there we might get another ultrasound and see if I should be getting some steroid shots, to help baby.
Aside from all that stuff, he is doing amazing still. HB great! And my BP is still perfect. Also little beaner is still measuring 2 weeks ahead. So I hope thats a good thing if he decides to come a little early!
I'm 32 weeks 5 days, with possibly only 5 weeks to go! I cant wait to see my little guy!!

*side note: If your dr ever wants to move your baby's head, I will tell you right now, IT HURTS!!! And I was bleeding for about 2-3 days after......Just in case anyone was wondering :)

28 weeks 5 days

Hope everyone had the most happiest of holidays! I know we did. This is the first year in 5 years we were able to go home and be with our families without having to rush back the next day. I got the ok from the OB and off we went.
Dec22- I was at the lab bright and early for my GDD test and urine screening. So many people warn me that the drink is horrible, but I didn't find it that bad. When we were done, it was time to make our quick 6+ hour trip home. Now let me tell you that driving that far while almost 7 months preggo, probably wasn't smart. Aside from stopping in every town for a pee break, I could barely walk when we got there. But it was great all the same.
Christmas Day was great! We were spoiled, as was the baby. I cant wait for next year. I saw my cousin, who on Christmas Day was 39w1d pregnant, and I was bigger then her!! I think I'm in trouble.....
2 days later her little boy was born. Problem was he had air bubbles in his chest, and couldn't breathe....It was a scary couple days. I'm glad to say he's doing much better and is home now.
Dec28- we went on a sleigh ride...so fun, but again probably not for the very pregnant. We were in the middle of nowhere and again I had to pee. The good ol' squat and hover doesn't work when you cant even balance!!
Jan1- we came home. There roads were horrible and our normal 6 hour trip took 8+ hours. I was not the happiest person when we got back, but we made it, safely!
Jan2- I started feeling really sick. I tried to eat and ended up sitting in the bathroom forever. I drank water and called the health link. She said that if my temps stayed below 100, I didn't vomit, and baby kept active I was ok. Well temps went up.....then I started getting sick (now from both ends, tmi I know) but I tried to stay tuff. The next morning, baby was acting weird. I kept poking him, to make sure he was ok. But I couldn't get him moving. So off to the Hospital I went and straight to L & D. They are great there. After monitoring and tests, we learned that baby was still great, just sleeping, and I was severly dehydrated and somehow got the Norwalk Virus. I had to get 2 Litres of fluids and they wanted to give me a third. I thought I would pop. The baby was slow at first, but his pace picked up as soon as the fetal monitor was hooked up. He really hates those things. She had a hard time getting a reading because he wouldn't stop kicking the thing. I was having contractions (BH) but I didn't even notice until she told me.....
I was let out later that night. And as I left the nurse said "See you in 10 or less weeks"
That was my turning point. 10 weeks?! Thats not long at all, and we aren't ready. I went home, tired and bloated and I couldn't sleep, because our baby had nothing. I was so thankful that he was ok, and am so excited to get started on preparing for his arrival. But now its coming so fast!!
After a few days of freaking out, we went and got our crib and bedding last night. I also registered. I am now back to being super excited and less freaked.....I think it was a little "thing" that I sure everyone goes through......
So all in all that is my last few weeks in a nutshell. I am almost 29 weeks and so ready to meet him. I said a secret Happy New Year to my little boy and told him we would finally meet in 3 months.....I hope the time goes fast again and am so greatful how wonderful things are working out so far.....I just love this little guy!

24 weeks 3 days

Well I got pulled off work....finally! My boss is an ass. A couple of weeks ago I passed out at work, and he wouldn't let me leave. I was puking and everything and nope...I had to stay. So I went to the OB a few days later, and she said enough is enough. And pulled me off. Wanna know the good thing? No spotting since! I feel pretty good right now actually!!
She did check my cervix, and is a little concerned about preterm labour still.....but things are good so far.
I had more blood work to make sure my rh factor is staying balanced.....and had a flu shot. Boy does your arm hurt after! I see the OB on Monday for another rogham shot and then on the 22nd I go for my GD test......
Baby is great!! He kicks like crazy now, and you can see him moving. Like waves that roll over my tummy, or things that poke out and you can actually touch them. I felt a foot the other day....so small and soooo cute! I was sitting in the OB's office and a young girl was beside me (that was newly pregnant) and my baby started his show....well the poor girl looked soooo freaked out, and I tried to cover him, but my belly is too big to cover with anything anymore, so I just smiled at her, and said dont worry it feels really cool. I dont know if it helped.....
I am starting to nest too. I have done more baking in 2 weeks then I have in my entire life! And for some reason I must freeze everything!! So we have a freezer FULL off cookies...if anyone wants some..haha. I have been freaking about baby stuff. We have nothing still. Our room is still full of junk, and still has its ugly white walls. The crib we want is going to take 6-8 weeks to some in. I only have 3 months left!!! I found some bedding that we both liked and are going to register soon at babies r us.
I was suspose to be christmas shopping yesterday but couldn't help buying the cutest hat for him...I was more excited about the hat then the presents!
Well I am defiantly in the fun part of pregnancy now! Even though I waddle like I'm 9 months and dont sleep at all, I love every minute of it. I love having a belly, even if everyone stares at you. And I am dieing to meet him!!

22 weeks 3 days

Well I know I have been bad at updating my blog.....but I honestly dont have much going on. The pregnancy is going great! Baby is very active. I could lay there for hours and feel his little kicks.....even DH loves to feel them.
We haven't started the baby room or anything yet. I am excited to get started on that stuff, but am so tired by the end of the day, all I want to do is sleep.
My boss is still treating me like crap. Its so hard to complete a whole day now. I can barely walk (I am getting pretty big) and everything hurts...and he wont even let me take a break, or eat something. I meet my OB again on Monday and I'm hoping she just pulls me off. Besides its getting so close now I dont see why she wouldn't.
I am getting so excited now. In the past 2 weeks we know 3 people that have had babies, and it makes us both more and more excited! My dh is soooo eager to get started on things.
I have signed up for some prenatal yoga classes that start at the beginning of Jan and they end the day before our prenatal classes start....It will keep me busy atleast.
I hope everyone else is doing well.......I just thought I'd throw a quick update out there.

Well the verdict is in.....

ITS A BOY!!! And not a shy guy either.....
Yesterday was a pretty exciting day. We finally got to see our baby again. I could hardly stop tearing up long enough, to see anything. There we sat looking at a perfect profile pic on the screen, when suddenly he turned to look at us, raised his hand, and gave us the finger! It was sooo funny! We even have a picture of it (where it actually turns out to be his index finger but still, it was like he was telling us to be quiet)
Everything else turned out to be perfect. They didn't even see why I was bleeding, so now the dr thinks its external. If it happens again then I have to go to yet, another specialist. But until then dh and I even got the ok for some bd.....which we haven't done in 14 weeks! I'm nervous about it still, but he's pretty excited.
So back to work I go this week, and see what happens......
I am so greatful everyday for this miracle, and actually feel like its happening now. I saw my little boy!!!
