28 weeks 5 days

Hope everyone had the most happiest of holidays! I know we did. This is the first year in 5 years we were able to go home and be with our families without having to rush back the next day. I got the ok from the OB and off we went.
Dec22- I was at the lab bright and early for my GDD test and urine screening. So many people warn me that the drink is horrible, but I didn't find it that bad. When we were done, it was time to make our quick 6+ hour trip home. Now let me tell you that driving that far while almost 7 months preggo, probably wasn't smart. Aside from stopping in every town for a pee break, I could barely walk when we got there. But it was great all the same.
Christmas Day was great! We were spoiled, as was the baby. I cant wait for next year. I saw my cousin, who on Christmas Day was 39w1d pregnant, and I was bigger then her!! I think I'm in trouble.....
2 days later her little boy was born. Problem was he had air bubbles in his chest, and couldn't breathe....It was a scary couple days. I'm glad to say he's doing much better and is home now.
Dec28- we went on a sleigh ride...so fun, but again probably not for the very pregnant. We were in the middle of nowhere and again I had to pee. The good ol' squat and hover doesn't work when you cant even balance!!
Jan1- we came home. There roads were horrible and our normal 6 hour trip took 8+ hours. I was not the happiest person when we got back, but we made it, safely!
Jan2- I started feeling really sick. I tried to eat and ended up sitting in the bathroom forever. I drank water and called the health link. She said that if my temps stayed below 100, I didn't vomit, and baby kept active I was ok. Well temps went up.....then I started getting sick (now from both ends, tmi I know) but I tried to stay tuff. The next morning, baby was acting weird. I kept poking him, to make sure he was ok. But I couldn't get him moving. So off to the Hospital I went and straight to L & D. They are great there. After monitoring and tests, we learned that baby was still great, just sleeping, and I was severly dehydrated and somehow got the Norwalk Virus. I had to get 2 Litres of fluids and they wanted to give me a third. I thought I would pop. The baby was slow at first, but his pace picked up as soon as the fetal monitor was hooked up. He really hates those things. She had a hard time getting a reading because he wouldn't stop kicking the thing. I was having contractions (BH) but I didn't even notice until she told me.....
I was let out later that night. And as I left the nurse said "See you in 10 or less weeks"
That was my turning point. 10 weeks?! Thats not long at all, and we aren't ready. I went home, tired and bloated and I couldn't sleep, because our baby had nothing. I was so thankful that he was ok, and am so excited to get started on preparing for his arrival. But now its coming so fast!!
After a few days of freaking out, we went and got our crib and bedding last night. I also registered. I am now back to being super excited and less freaked.....I think it was a little "thing" that I sure everyone goes through......
So all in all that is my last few weeks in a nutshell. I am almost 29 weeks and so ready to meet him. I said a secret Happy New Year to my little boy and told him we would finally meet in 3 months.....I hope the time goes fast again and am so greatful how wonderful things are working out so far.....I just love this little guy!

Wow CJ, only 10 more weeks to go, I'm so excited for you. What kind of bedding did you guys pick out? If we had a boy, I would have done a jungle animal theme.
Glad to know the little one is doing fantastically, aren't the nurses in L&D fantastic, when I had a little scare I felt so relieved to know that come delivery time, we'd be in great hands.. and we were.
Hope these last few weeks go great, have fun collecting all your baby stuff... it is definately one of the best parts of the wait.

Hope you had a blast at your baby shower and got lots of cute stuff... people really seem to spoil little babies don't they? Course I'm the same way when I go to someone's shower.

Awww no I never had my babyshower yet :( She just wanted to ask some questions....The person that is planning it is really lazy and decided that she wouldn't do it earlier then less then 2 weeks before my EDD, when the dr thinks he'll be early....nice. But I'm doing good....I try not to complain to much, but am honestly getting pretty uncomfortable now!
