Well here we are....in the home stretch, and as usual I have a few weeks to update on.
We started our prenatal classes. And as I hoped we have made at least two. Our L&D class was very informative, and DH is glad we didn't miss it. we have them every Tues for 10 weeks in total. It is really helping.
My last OB appointment showed a few things that she is now "keeping an eye on".My BP went up a bit, and I have crazy swelling that just showed up. My weight (which has been great the enitre time) has started going up too, so now I am being monitored for preeclampsya. I see her again tomorrow and she will tell me what the plan is.
Baby is still big (she thinks around 7-7.5 lbs now at 37 weeks) but hasn't "growen" since last appointment, which can somtimes mean he's outta room. So they are wanting to send me for another ultrasound. Maybe we can get an induction date....
Other then that, I have been trying a few things at home to see if labour will start on its own. I ate a pineapple (which didn't start labour, but made my tounge raw and gave me killer heartburn for about 2 days), I had my extreamly swollen ankles massaged (and although it felt great, just made them bigger) and am now drinking raspberry leaf tea. Dont let the name fool you! It tastes like grass!! But with a little sugar and milk, it is drinkable. Why I thought it tasted like raspberries is beyond me........
I am showing signs of labour that they warn you about.....af type ramps, back pain, changes in BM (sorry tmi).....so maybe I can meet him soon.....
So aside from that, it is mostly last minute things to finish. I had my baby shower last night, and he is one spoiled little guy! It was alot of fun!! It makes me so happy to know how much he is already loved.

I'm so excited for you! lol re: the pinapple, you poor thing! My step-sis tried the tea and swore it helped. I also read that it helps prepare the cervix or something that helps with labour. I hope labour goes "well" (as well as it can) for you and the little guy. What an amazing moment when he's in our arms eh?
Only a potential few more weeks to go. I'm so excited for you and wishing you a quick and simple labour. Can't wait to see the first "outside" pic of your little man... but yay another U/S.. I loved getting all those peeks.
Sounds like your little man will be with us soon, enjoy getting everything ready and definately make some meals ahead of time... wish I'd had time to do that but my LO was 2 weeks early.
